Diet plans for weight loss: myths of weight loss
With so many diet plans, weight management tips and diet advice was given on the internet and in magazines, it is difficult to understand what is fact and what is fiction for everyone. Popular plans that people tend to choose to read, and plan to “ensure significant weight loss in a short space of time,” the problem with plans like this is that it can be:
-Hazardous – lose lots of weight in a short space of time is harmful because the body would not be able to cope with a major change
-Do not show any result – whether just starting their journey diet and have launched a “Get Slim Fast Plan,” can not get the results you need because it takes time for your body to adapt to the new regime
With the above two points in mind, I have checked five myths state that are well known in the world of diet. Remember, my items are designed to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
Myth # 1: low fat or diets are not good
Myth Buster
No need to follow a diet without fat. Again. No one should follow a diet free of fat. Why? Simple! Only by reducing consumption of saturated and unsaturated fats found in foods like avocados and olive oil will boost your weight loss.
Myth # 2: weight loss plans fast
Myth Buster
As mentioned these plans can be dangerous and not show any result at the end of it. Furthermore these plans can be removed more lean muscle tissue that can cause a drop in metabolism. A drop in your metabolism can mean a diet once you stop your weight shoots up again which means it is constantly in a loop of diet.
Myth # 3: This night can be fattening
Myth Buster (I like it)
Some diets will tell you not to eat after a certain time because your body stores fat because nowhere in the activity. Truth is, it does not matter what you eat, but which can lead to weight gain because tonight is the amount of calories you have consumed over a period of 24 hours. So if you’re like me and you fancy a little snack before bedtime, keep calories in the day and enjoy your snack midnight.
Myth # 4: Fatty foods cause rapid weight gain
Myth Buster (this is my second favorite)
Truth is true weight loss is a slow process – it does not happen overnight, it happens over time. Did you know you can win a pound of body fat if you eat an extra 3600 calories (the opposite to lose)? Do now.
Myth # 5: Low-fat foods in weight loss aid
Myth Buster
No products drawn by ‘Low Fat’ or ‘fat free’ because thickeners and additional sugars are added to infuse flavor and keep the texture of the products. Here is a rule I recommend to many of my friends – any food that is labeled low fat must contain no more than 3 g fat per 100 grams.
I know it’s a lot and many sources can tell you differently but I always tell my readers the facts, not fiction.
