Does it really work Dukan diet to lose weight?

Admit it: nutritionists are a plague multiforme. They almost look like economists (economists forgive me): each with their

subjective opinions (forgive me nutritionists), and in some cases, pretending to know more about what they know. And that is the

subject of nutrition, though it may seem otherwise, is still a subject little studied and full of shadows.

Putting aside fad diets and other attacks on health is more than obvious for some months (perhaps many months), just look

bestseller in Spain (and almost everyone) in the genre of non- fiction to realize that the list is headed by the books of Pierre

Dukan. Is the diet that followed Penelope Cruz 15 kilos to lose weight after pregnancy, yuhuu!

The book in question concerns a diet, yet another, it seems that brings amazing results (though losing weight is easy: malnútrete

tararás not do so). Everyone seems excited about the happy diet. I must confess that until I took a cursory glance at a bookstore,

stung by curiosity. Well above did not seem very different from photocopied sheet that gives you any endocrinologist. However,

what science says about such a diet? Can diet or Durkan method is useful for something?

No, not good for anything, unless you want to ruin your body. This is what has given the Group for the Study and positioning of

the Spanish Association of Dieticians, Nutritionists, which discourages furiously “method” or “diet” thinning proposed by Pierre

Dukan, considering it ineffective, fraudulent and potentially dangerous. In addition, it is considered that the phrase “you will

achieve weight loss immediately and keep your weight steady for the rest of his life” contradicts the consensus among the

scientific community according to which “no strategy for weight loss has been shown effective immediately and maintained for life

in all population groups.

The Dukan, for example, commits the same mistake again to ban the consumption of food or food group. In addition, a systematic

review of the literature published in 2003 concluded that, contrary to what is proposed Dukan, no evidence to support that a diet

with higher protein content helps weight loss. A more recent study, which randomly assigned 811 overweight adults four diets with

different percentages of macronutrients, concluded that weight loss is justified as long as you follow the diet and the calories

left to eat, not the distribution of these macronutrients.

In the U.S., and advocated various diets on the protein intake of carbohydrates. Even a colleague, the late Michel Montignac, had

developed a similar method, although in their case, allowing certain types of carbohydrates that prohibits Dukan, in particular,

low glycemic index, which take longer to turn into sugar, as grain versions of bread, rice and pasta

According to experts, none of the Spanish scientific databases or international (Elsevier, Excelenciaclinica.net, clinical

practice guidelines in the National Health System, Scielo, Scirus, ScienceDirect, clinicaltrials.gov, PubMed …) does not contain

any study reference to this diet or to support their efficacy or safety.

And in a lengthy document published in November 2010, the French Agency for Food Security, Environment and Health (ANSES) said

that the call may involve Dukan diet and nutritional imbalances can be highly risky because it could lead to somatic,

psychological , hormones, growth or performance.

Now you know you can do with the damn book to help you get rid of belly fat.
